Haiku originally is a japanese poetry composed of three verses: the first one of 5 syllabes, the second of 7, the third of 5 again.

As you see they are very short indeed 
When we try to communicate a feeling with so few words, what happens is that we have to choose the essential ones. Usually we start with a complex phrase, we are worried about to be misunderstood, we would like to give a description as complete as possible. But if we are compelled to stay in 17 syllabes we are obliged to discard.

Quando cerchiamo di comunicare una sensazione con così poche parole, quel che succede è che dobbiamo scegliere quelle essenziali.
